Dr. Matt Hollis received the CSD/CRISCI Clinical Faculty Award for his project, “SHIMP as a tool for evaluation of vestibulo-ocular reflex suppression”.

 Dr. Raghav Jha received the CSD/CRISCI Faculty Research Grant for his project, “Effects of age on bone conduction tuning of vestibular evoked myogenic potentials”.

Dr. Kelsey Mankel received the CSD/CRISCI Faculty Research Grant for her project, “Perceptions and practice patterns of electrophysiologic testing among U.S. audiologists”.

Julie Marshall received the CSD/CRISCI Clinical Faculty Award for her project, “Does dialect matter? Assessing reading comprehension and spoken narrative skills of African American male college students using both mainstream American and African American English”.

Dr. Deborah Moncrieff received $25,000 from Urban Child Institute as Co-P.I. with Dr. Roozbeh Rezaie on the project “Unveiling the role of dichotic listening in academic challenges: An MEG study of brain correlates in elementary school children.”

Dr. Deborah Moncrieff received $1,000 from the Rotary Foundation to evaluate dichotic listening deficits in children enrolled at Sherwood Middle School, Memphis, TN.

New Hires

This fall, Dr. Thierry Morlet will be joining the Audiology faculty from Nemours Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Morgan Oates will be joining the Speech-language Pathology faculty.

Retirement

After as a Clinical Assistant Professor, John Sandidge entered retirement in May 2024. Thank you, John, for all you have done for students and the Memphis community.
