A team of students from the Center for Information Assurance placed 11th nationwide in the 2016 NSA Codebreaker Challenge.
Our team, consisting of both graduate and undergraduate students, competed against more than 200 schools in the event. Participants had to use their reverse-engineering / low-level code analysis skills to solve six progressively more difficult challenges in a limited amount of time. The U of M team successfully solved five of these six challenges, leaving behind some top-tier schools.
