2021

Prof. Dasgupta nominated for the National Artificial Intelligence Advisory Committee (NAIAC) by a Program Manager of DoE, October 10, 2021.
Dr. Dasgupta received appointment as an IEEE Distinguished Lecturer (DL) of the IEEE for three year (2022-2024).

2019

On November 25th, 2019 - The University of Memphis Research Foundation (UMRF) has signed an agreement to license a U.S. patent with i2Chain, a San Francisco area cybersecurity startup, for an Adaptive Multi-factor Authentication (A-MFA) System invented and developed by a team led by Dr. Dipankar Dasgupta. This news was also featured at Daily Memphian.
August 2019 issue of FedTech magazine (which is widely circulated among federal agencies) interviewed Dr. Dasgupta as an expert in the field and mentioned in an article (on 7th paragraph) for DOD’s use of latest Technologies and implementation of CMFA (Continuous Multi-Factor Authentication).
Online courses we developed focused on various aspects of Cybersecurity. These FEMA funded courses are free for all users. Our most recent course, Cyber Identity and Authentication will be available soon.
Visited IIT, Delhi on December 16-17, 2019 and gave a talk participated in research discussion.
On June 17th hosted visiting Professor Jayanta Mukhopadhyay from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, who gave talk on Information Processing for Neonatal Health Care.
Facilitated in hosting 2019 Cyber Ambassadors Tech Camp High School students, where the concepts of Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, and Secure Coding were introduced, June 19-20, 2019.
Delivered an invited talk on Online Social Networks and Privacy Issues and on June 11, 2019.

Dr. Dasgupta will organize symposium on Computational Intelligence in Cyber Security (CICS) at the IEEE Symposium Series on Computational Intelligence (SSCI) in Xiamen, China from Dec 6 - 9, 2019.
Dr. Dasgupta's Patent (#9,912,657) on Adaptive Multi-Factor Authentication has been approved by United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Dr. Dasgupta has submitted another patent application on Multi-user Permission Strategy to Access Sensitive Information, PCT/US18/026782, US App. 15/949,111
Dr. Dasgupta is working on corporate engagements with three companies on research. One among them is Raymond James for which a visit has been organized by him to UofM Campus.
Dr. Dasgupta is helping to form university-wide team to propose NSF ERC Center of Excellence.
Dr. Dasgupta is working on a Multi-University DHS proposal with MIT (Pre-proposal under submission).
Dr. Dasgupta has hosted two Cybersecurity Professional workshops on August 3rd and another on October 12, 2018.
Dr. Dasgupta has helped (in finding the speakers and some logistics) hosting the Cyber Summit in October 5, 2018.
Dr. Dasgupta has been engaged in two university-level Committees: UM Corporate Strategy Council and University Research Council.
