About

My name is Taylor Abrams-Rollinson, and I am a first-year Ph.D. student here at the University of Memphis. I’ve been married to my partner since 2021 and I have a 2-year-old Dutch Shepherd Dog. I’ve taught Communication Studies in the past at Central Piedmont Community College as an Adjunct Professor and at UNC-Charlotte as a TA. In 2015, I graduated with my bachelor’s in film studies, and in 2022, I graduated with my M.A. in Communication Studies. I’ve worked as a Director's Assistant, an Office PA, and an Office Secretary on over 10 productions for a few years before returning back to school. I am currently interested in African-American Rhetoric, Race and Critical Cultural Studies, and I am interested in exploring those intersections with film/media studies.
