The Graduate School
Andrea Baird has over twenty-five years of professional business experience. She has held varying management and C-Level positions during her career in private, non-profit, health, and education sectors. A native of Washington State, Andrea relocated to Memphis, TN in 2017. Andrea's most current roles as Chief Administrative Officer & Vice President of Student Services for Moore Tech College enables her to meet the needs for many industries in the Mid-South region, but more importantly, provides options for those in the community to change their story. Andrea has taken on the task of serving her community as a board member and a volunteer just as she did in Washington. Currently, she serves the following groups in Memphis: Germantown Economic Development Commission, Mid-South Community Justice & Mediation Center, and the YWCA Greater Memphis. Her goals are to carry on her vow of community servitude wherever she might be. In 2014, Andrea completed her Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Sociology. As a December 2019 graduate, Andrea is currently completing her Executive Master of Business Administration degree with University of Memphis.
Andrea believes that nothing in her life could have happened without her commitment to higher learning. She is humbled to work alongside so many other talented leaders in Memphis and is fortunate to have the team she does at work. Andrea and her husband share the responsibility of raising their four children--Colton, Jack, Lily, and Tristan--and are also caring for Andrea's mother, Jane. And if that wasn't enough, they continue to open their home to the strays that enter their lives. They get to spoil their three rescue animals: two misfit cats--Lego and Cooper-and their hyper rescue pup, Hank.
