About
Dr. Nascimento received his PhD in Theoretical Physical Chemistry from Florida State University in 2017 under the direction of Prof. Eugene DePrince. Before joining the Faculty of the University of Memphis, Dr. Nascimento held postdoctoral positions in the Sherrill Group at Georgia Tech and at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His research centers on the development and application of quantum mechanical methods and algorithms to explore the interaction between light and matter at the molecular scale.
