ESVSME 2010-2011

Professor Jer-Ming Chiu led this project to deploy eighteen PASSCAL broadband stations (CMG3T) in southeastern Missouri, southwestern Kentucky and western Tennessee from February 27, 2010 to December 21, 2011. This is a research project sponsored by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) to study the shear wave velocity of the sedimentary basin in the upper Mississippi embayment. It was a collaborated project with Professors J.M. Wang and Edward Woolery at the University of Kentucky. 

A network code "3E" was assigned to this project by the Federation of Digital Seismographic Network (FDSN).
