The center for Disaster Recovery and Resiliency is a multidisciplinary center promoting infrastructure resiliency and with recovery from natural hazards such as

- earthquakes.
Mission
The center for Disaster Recovery and Resiliency is a multidisciplinary center promoting infrastructure resiliency and with recovery from natural hazards such as flood, tornados, ice storm, and earthquake. The CDRR builds collaboration among city and town managers, disaster managers and local EMS agencies, university researchers, city planners to develop strategies to recover from natural hazards and build more resilient infrastructure
The CDRR will create multidisciplinary multi-hazard risk and resilience educational programs and research at the University of Memphis. With strong support FEMA, the CDRR will secure financial support to develop strategies to recover from natural disasters such as ice storm, Tornados, and Flood working with key stakeholders from government/municipality and industry. The CDRR will create external funding portfolios to sustain and expand the Center's research activities.
