Mehdi Hajilou is a Research Scientist with Delta Health Alliance and a Faculty Affiliate at the Center for Community Research and Evaluation. Dr. Hajilou has a broad interest in using geographic information science for community development, urban-rural studies, sustainability, resilience, tourism, and the improvement of public health systems. He possesses expertise in quantitative methodologies, with a particular focus on statistical modeling as well as geospatial mapping and analytics. Mehdi has previously served as Postdoctoral Fellow at CCRE. He also accumulated significant experience as a research scholar and research associate at the University of Florida, the University of South Carolina, Temple University, and the University of Science and Culture in Tehran. Additionally, Mehdi serves as a reviewer for nine peer-reviewed academic journals in the fields of geography, tourism, and interdisciplinary urban-rural studies, and he has published over 25 scholarly articles.
