Mehdi Hajilou
Post-Doctoral Fellow
Mehdi Hajilou is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Community Research and Evaluation. Dr. Hajilou has a broad interest in using geographic information science for community development, urban-rural studies, sustainability, resilience, tourism, and the improvement of public health systems. He possesses expertise in quantitative methodologies, with a particular focus on statistical modeling as well as geospatial mapping and analytics. Prior to joining the CCRE, Mehdi held the position of lecturer at the University of Science and Culture in Tehran. He also accumulated significant experience as a research scholar and research associate at the University of Florida, the University of South Carolina, and Temple University. Additionally, Mehdi serves as a reviewer for nine peer-reviewed academic journals in the fields of geography, tourism, and interdisciplinary urban-rural studies, and he has published over 25 scholarly articles.
