About
Ashley Harris is a native Memphian. She graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She later completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in History at the University of Memphis in 2021.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in History at the U of M and seeks to focus on late-20th-century African American Music History and Black-American popular movements.
As Administrative Associate I, Ashley assists the College of Communication and Fine Arts Dean by serving as the first point of contact for CCFA office staff, maintaining the Dean’s calendar for appointments, meetings, and travel, and coordinating CCFA events and reservations. She schedules and prepares agendas, reservations, and catering for faculty and staff events and meetings, and prepares CCFA communication documents. Additionally, Ashley supports the CCFA Director of Development with communication and special events, helps the Dean oversee team-building activities, and acts as the college administrator for Tenure and Promotion as well as Chair and Faculty evaluations.
