About Scott Pickey
Scott comes to the UofM after an almost 30-year career as a newsroom manager at TV stations across the country. His latest position was as News Director at KOSA-TV, the #1 CBS affiliate in Odessa-Midland, TX. He’s also worked at stations in Wilmington, NC, Raleigh, NC, Syracuse, NY and Fayetteville, AR. He graduated from Harding Academy here in Memphis and received a B.A. in Journalism from Christian Brothers University. Scott is currently working on an M.A. in the UofM Department of Journalism and Strategic Media.
Scott has won multiple awards for news coverage, including a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for leading KOSA’s reporting on the 2019 Labor Day Weekend Mass Shooting in Odessa.
