Thomas Phillips
Dr. Thomas Phillips came to the University of Memphis in 2023 as an Athletic Academic Advisor working with football.
Prior to coming to Memphis, he served as the Director of Student-athlete Success Services at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He previously worked in the athletic academic departments at Clemson University and The University of North Texas. Additionally, he has worked in the athletic departments at North Greenville University, Wofford College, and Clemson in a variety of positions.
Phillips is a three-time graduate of North Greenville University earning his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a Concentration in Coaching in 2013, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A) in 2016 and a Doctor in Education (Ed.D) in Higher Education leadership in 2019. He has been a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) since 2018.
He resides in Memphis, TN with his wife, Regan, daughter and dogs.
