Elizabeth Matlock-Buchanan Wins Second Place at Works in Progress Symposium

Elizabeth Matlock-Buchanan, a junior undergraduate student in BME, won second place at the annual Works in Progress Symposium. Elizabeth presented her research on "Tosh Farms Sow Lameness Prevention Project: Using Biomedical Approaches in an Agricultural Setting for Intervention in Culling of Sows due to Lameness” under the mentorship of Dr. Amber Jennings. Elizabeth began her research as part of the Vertically Integrated Projects course sponsored by the NSF and has also been funded by a Research Experiences for Undergraduates program in Dr. Jennings' lab.
