Dual Career and Family Friendly Awareness Task Force

ASPIRED developed Dual Career and Family Friendly Awareness Task Force to increase awareness of family-friendly policies, review and research best practices, recommend policy changes, and work to change cultural attitudes and norms related to the identified problems of lack of family-friendly policies (e.g., dual-career services).

Work-Life Integration Resources

Work-life integration resources are dedicated to publicizing up-to-date information about family-friendly policies and initiatives. While work-life policies and work-life integration resources have existed for many years, faculty underuse many of them. Many faculty remain unaware of the policies and attitudes toward policies inhibit some faculty from taking advantage of them. Information on family-friendly policies and resources on our campus are visible and easily accessible through ASPIRED's Work-life integration resources below:

  • Dual Career Policy
  • Family-Friendly Policies

Work-Life Integrate Grants

Work-life integrate grants provide support for faculty who are at critical junctures in their professional careers and whose research productivity has been directly affected by personal life events (e.g., illness of a dependent, parent, spouse/partner, or oneself; complications from childbirth; combination of major life events).

Applicants will be required to provide a synopsis of the research project or professional development program and budget as well as the reason that they would benefit from the award (indicating where they are in their career path, life event they are experiencing and making the case for why ASPIRED funding is warranted).

Applications will be reviewed, and grants awarded on a case-by-case basis by the Work-life Integrate Grants committee.
