Anthropology Student Award for Outstanding Community Engagement

To be presented to graduating Anthropology Bachelors or Masters degree students with the most outstanding record of contributions to service and engaged outreach in the community.

Qualifications

Recipients must be scheduled to graduate in May or August of the year of the award, or have received their degree in December of the preceding year.

Nominations may be submitted by faculty, staff and/or students and should include a short statement (apx. 150-300 words) citing the nominee's qualifications for this award. Qualifications must extend beyond required degree work; team activities will be considered.

One or more recipients will be chosen on the basis of their overall contributions to engaged service and outreach in the department and in the community.

Award recipient/s will be selected by all full-time faculty members, under the direction of the Department Chair.

The award, consisting of an engraved plaque and $100 cash prize, may be presented annually through the University Honors Assembly.

This award is funded through the Anthropology Enrichment Fund and Advances in Anthropology Fund.
