Changing Your Major
It is completely normal and common for students to change their major. If you find yourself doubting your initial choice, talk to your academic advisor. It may be that adding a minor, discussing career and/or graduate school plans, or other options will lead you to the right choice.
If you are a new freshman and have decided to change your major, contact the faculty/departmental advisor for your new major. You might also consider being undecided and meeting with an advisor in the Academic Advising Center (AAC) if you want to keep your options open.
If you are a current student, have a declared major, and have decided to change your major, contact the faculty/departmental advisor for your new major.
If you are a current student but have yet to declare your major officially (those advised in the Academic Advising Center), contact your current advisor to discuss your change of major. Your ACC advisor will help you work on a timeline for declaring your new major.
