Nataliya Doroshenko, Instructor, Department of Mathematical Sciences
Nataliya Doroshenko works as an instructor of mathematics in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Memphis. She teaches a wide variety of undergraduate classes, such as Foundation of Mathematics 1420, Statistics 1530, and Math for Elementary Teachers.
Nataliya was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine. She received her Master's degree in Mathematics and Math Education from Kiev State University in 1992. While living in Ukraine, she gained some teaching experience, but she discovered her passion for teaching when her family moved to the United States in 2000.
Over the last 10 years, Nataliya has taught many different classes and over 5,000 students. She has been working at the University of Memphis for 3 years now.
Nataliya believes that a single teacher can change the lives of his or her students. She believes she is a lucky person, because she loves her job and her students. Also, because it seems as though they love her back.
