Discover the beauty of calligraphy and traditional Chinese ink painting at The Art of the Ink on Bookmark! Participants will have their names written in calligraphy on a bookmark and experience
the artistry of traditional Chinese ink painting. This event will introduce participants
to the elegance of calligraphy and the serene beauty of Chinese ink painting, offering
an interactive way to learn more about these art forms. This event is hosted by the
Center for International Education Services and East Asian Studies and International
Trade.
The Cercle Français is open to all students studying or interested in French. The
topic this week is French sites in the USA, and will be presented by Dr. Will Thompson,
in English. This event is conducted in partnership with the French section in World
Languages and Literatures.
This is an immersive celebration of Italy’s rich heritage, co-hosted by the Italian
and Classics programs. Students will dive into short video highlights of stunning
Greek and Roman monuments, paired with fascinating insights into Italy’s traditional
festivals and vibrant contemporary culture. They will experience Italy through its
sights, sounds, and, of course, flavors—authentic Italian food will be served to all
participants. This event is hosted by the Department of World Languages.
