Joshua Bolden is a junior continuing his broadcast journalism education at the University
of Memphis. He is radio personality for WUMR and co-host of the "Jazz Top Ten." The
bilingual, student journalist is a former reporter for the university's The Daily Helmsman, a newspaper independently run by students. He serves as vice president of the U of
M chapter of National Association of Black Journalists.
Bolden is also creator, producer, and co-host for The Conversation, an online news magazine that focuses on happenings in the Mid-South. He has interviewed
comedians, authors, and Apollo Legends. His work has been featured in The Commercial Appeal online. In addition to pursing his journalism degree, Bolden is seeking a major in
film production and minor in Spanish.
Prior to attending the U. of Memphis, he graduated Brighton High School.
