The University of Memphis Department of Theatre & Dance invites the entire community to be a part of their great 2012/2013 season of stage productions. They have produced many talented and famous performers. It has been possible through their participation in these productions as students.

The scathing, groundbreaking musical, "The Three Penny Opera," will have lyrics by Berthold Brecht and music by Kurt Weill. Shortly after Thanksgiving, a new play by Charles A. Donaghy entitled "The Quadroon and the Dove" will be presented on-stage.

"The Three Penny Opera" takes place from November 8th thru 10th and 15th thru 17th at 7:30 pm. The play will have lyrics by Berthold Brecht and music by Kurt Weill.

"The Quadroon and the Dove" will be showing on November 30th starting at 7:30 p.m. and December 1st at 2 p.m.

All performances will be held in the Main Theatre Building, located on 3745 Central Avenue.

In addition, Friends of the U of M Theatre can enjoy special discounts and events. There is nothing like enjoying and evening at the theatre.
