September 2: University Closed in observance of Labor Day

September 3-7: National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Interest Week

September 6: Last Day to Drop Course without Receiving "W" on transcript

September 4: "My Son/Daughter Wants to Join a fraternity/sorority? I need more information" Parent Chat, Noon, Click Here to Join

September 7: Football vs. Duke, Liberty Bowl, 3:30 pm CT (Frosh Frenzy at start)

September 9-12: Interfraternity Council (IFC) Recruitment Week

September 11-14: Panhellenic Recruitment Week

September 18: Study Abroad Fair, 10 am to 3 pm, Student Plaza

September 30-October 4: Commuter Appreciation Week

October 1: 1st Installment Plan Payment Due

Enrollment Verification

Do you need verification that you student is enrolled for medical insurance, car insurance, or anything else? Students can request enrollment verification from the National Student Clearinghouse  or from the Registrar’s office.  For complete details on how to request enrollment verification, please click here.

Encourage your Students to get Involved!

Did you know? Students who are involved...

  • have higher GPAs and critical thinking skills
  • are more satisfied with their college experience.

This year students have the oppurtunity to explore different activities through the Plug In Events. Click here for a list of events and descriptions.

The beginning of a new school year is a great time for students join a new student organization.  The University has over 125 registered student organizations (RSOs) that cover a wide variety of student interests. If your student doesn't find one that addresses their interests, they can start their own! For the full list of registered student organizations and more information, please click here.

Fraternity and Sorority Recruitment

For our students who are interested in joining a Fraternity or Sorority, recruitment is currently ongoing. For more information, by clicking here.

Student Newspaper

Do you want to know what is going on on-campus from a student point of view?  Read the student newspaper, The Daily Helmsman, by clicking here. It is published Tuesday through Friday during the Fall and Spring semesters.
