Student involvement is essential to the daily operation of our department and creating a community that works and plays well together. There are many registered student organizations on campus for students to join. There are three registered student organizations within our department. These are organizations created by the students for the students.

The Fred Mertz Association was created in the early 1970s and has remained the organization that encompasses all theatre students. Dance Alliance is an organization for dancers in the department and USITT (United States Institute for Theatre Technology Inc) is part of a national organization for design technology students.
