Tracey obtained her BFA in Musical Theatre and Acting from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University and her MFA in Dance and Choreography from University of California, Irvine in 2009.  She joined the faculty at University of Memphis in 2013.

As a performer and member of Actors Equity Association, Tracey has performed in venues across the country including touring companies of A Chorus Line, Show Boat, and West Side Story. She has performed in various regional theatres including Stages St Louis, Barter Theatre, The Pirate Playhouse (Sanibel Island, FL) and City Center in New York City. She has served as Choreographer and/or Director for the Radio City Rockettes, Laguna Beach Dance Festival, Summer Repertory Theatre (Santa Rosa, CA), Vanguard Repertory Theatre (Los Angeles, CA), Park Avenue Players (Laguna Beach, CA), The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina, and Kentucky Conservatory Theatre. She has been honored to perform alongside national and international treasures including Donald McKayle, Mercedes Ellington, Sheron Wray, Jodie Gates, Chad Michael Hall, and Dr. Jennifer Fisher.

Tracey has enjoyed a varied career as an artist and an academic, having served on the faculties of Miracosta College, University of California, Irvine, Wagner College, American Musical & Dramatic Academy, California State University at Pomona, Long Beach City College, Azusa Pacific University, and Universidad de Sonora-Hermosillo.

Her work as Choreographer and Director respectively on the productions of West Side Story in 2008 (California), and the Southeast Regional premiere of RENT! in 2010 (Kentucky) have garnered her regional and local honors. Tracey's specialty is character driven dance in musical theatre, in which she seeks to combine the approach between actor preparedness and movement vocabulary to create an all encompassing experience for the actor/dancer.
