The School of Public Health at The University of Memphis is pleased to offer three PhD degrees: in Social and Behavioral Sciences, in Epidemiology, and in Health Systems and Policy.  The Social and Behavioral Sciences doctoral program is based on the principle that health and health behavior are influenced by multiple psychological, behavioral, social and cultural factors.  It is targeted for master's prepared students who desire advanced training in the social and behavioral science theories and methods used in public health.  The Epidemiology doctoral program is designed for those intending to teach and conduct epidemiological research into causes of disease and health outcomes as well as be active in identifying major public health problems and promoting evidence-based health policies to address health disparities, prevent disease, and improve quality of life.  The Health Systems and Policy doctoral program is designed for those who want to teach and conduct research utilizing evidence-based best practices and rigorous scientific theories and methods to improve the structure, process and outcomes of health systems.  For additional information, please click on one of the links below:
