Honors Program.

The Department of Social Work would like to congratulate our 2012-2013 Phi Alpha Honor
Society BA & MSW Inductees.


The Department of Social Work is proud to announce that NĂ¡thali Blackwell's thesis
was awarded the prestigious honor of the Morton Thesis Award.
She was one of two students nominated in March 2013 by the College of Arts & Sciences
Council for Research and Graduate Studies.
Her nomination and award from the department and the college is a special honor, indicative
of the high quality of her thesis prospectus. Selection for the University of Memphis
award was made by the Graduate Directors and was recently announced.
Congratulations NĂ¡thali for this prestigious honor!

they visit two Memphis homeless shelters during Dr. Lennon-Dearing's "Introduction to Social Work" class Summer 2012.


We are happy to announce that the MSW program is now in candidacy for accreditation with the Council on Social Work Education.
Full accreditation for the MSW program anticipated Spring 2014.
