The Works in Progress Symposium (WIPS) at the University of Memphis will be held Wednesday,
Nov. 3, from noon to 5 p.m. in the University Center’s Bluff Room, River Room, Memphis
Room A, and Memphis Room B. It is free and open for all to attend.
This annual event lets undergraduate students share their research with the general
University community, while it recognizes the significant contribution to research
made by U of M undergraduates.
This year 44 students will participate in the symposium, which will feature research
from many fields, including biomedical engineering, criminal justice, economics, health
and sport sciences, philosophy, physics, and psychology.
The symposium is sponsored by the Helen Hardin Honors Program. The full schedule of
student presentations is available online at http://www.memphis.edu/honors/pdfs/ProgramInside2010.pdf
