Jeff Corwin will share his passion for animal and environmental conservation during an interactive program at the University of Memphis. He will present “Tales from the Field” on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 6:30 p.m. in the Michael D. Rose Theatre. A book-signing will follow.

The program is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Zach Curlin garage adjacent to the Rose Theatre.

Corwin will feature live reptiles as part of the show, and will invite audience members to come onstage to interact with the menagerie.

Corwin has been an advocate for the environment and conservation since he was a child. The Emmy Award-winner first gained fame for his many Animal Planet shows, including the Jeff Corwin Experience and Corwin’s Quest, and has since moved on to ventures such as CNN’s Planet in Peril, co-hosted with Anderson Cooper, and Extreme Cuisine with Jeff Corwin, airing on Food Network.

With his new 100 Heartbeats project, a critically acclaimed book, and popular NBC documentary, Corwin takes on the world’s extinction crisis and helps audiences understand what they can do to make a difference in the world. His television work has led Men’s Health to recognize him as the world’s greatest host of a natural history series.

The program is sponsored by the Student Activities Council.
