Women's History Month at U of M Celebrates Women and the Arts

The University of Memphis will celebrate Women's History Month with the panel presentation “Women in the Arts" on Wednesday, March 12, at 11:30 a.m. in the Theatre and Communication Building, Room 100 (the main stage). Panelists will include U of M Department of Art faculty members Kimberly Hindman, Elizabeth Edwards and Donalyn Heise, visiting artist Margaret Cogswell, and Brenda Joysmith, a community artist and gallery owner.

The Women's History Month calendar also features a symposium, readings, music, dance and more. This year's theme is “Women's Art: Women's Vision." Events are free and open to the public.
