East Meets West in International Students' Orchestra Festival Feb. 13

East will meet West in an International Students' Orchestra Festival on Wednesday, February 13, at 7:30 p.m. in Harris Concert Hall at the University of Memphis.

The East China Normal University Orchestra of Shanghai will be performing Chinese symphonic music, a soprano solo, and two orchestral pieces. In the second half of the program, the ECNU Orchestra will perform with the University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra.

The ECNU Orchestra is conducted by Dr. Hou Runyu and has toured throughout China and in Vienna.

Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for non-U of M students and seniors, and free to U of M students, faculty and staff with valid I.D.
