TIME CONFLICT WITH #####
  • You are trying to register for two or more courses whose meeting times overlap. Adjust your schedule so that all meeting times are clear of one another.

TOO MANY REGISTRATION ATTEMPTS
  • You have exceeded 1000 registration attempts for the term: the registration system allows each student 1000 attempts at adding or dropping classes per term. Once you exceed this maximum, you are "locked out" of online registration for that term. You may still adjust your schedule; however, you will have to go to the Registrar's Office, 003 Wilder Tower, and complete a Schedule Adjustment form there.

You are only permitted to register for [11.999 or 8.999] hours due to outstanding immunization requirements. Please submit proof of MMR if full-time registration is desired.
  • The University does not have a record of your Measles-Mumps-Rubella (MMR) immunization. Unless this is on file with Student Health Services, you will not be able to register for a full-time course load. For more information, see Immunization: MMR.
  • Undergraduate Full-time Status=12 or more hours
  • Graduate Full-time Status=9 or more hours

You don't have authorization to render this channel.
  • This is a portal error. Your role or roles (Applicant, Student, Employee, Faculty, etc.) have changed and you no longer are authorized to subscribe to this channel. Remove the channel from your tab.

You have attempted to access a disabled page.
  • You will receive this error when you attempt to used the SEARCH field at the left-hand top of a Self Service page. This search field has been disabled at UM because it allowed students direct access to registration features they were not authorized to use.

You have no Registration Time Ticket. Please contact the registration administrator.
  • You cannot register yet for one of these reasons:
    1. You have applied but have not been fully accepted. Contact the Admissions Office at 901.678.2111 (Undergraduate Admissions) or 901.678.2911 (Graduate Admissions) to inquire about the status of your admission.
    2. You were an active student once but need to be readmitted. When you skip a Fall or Spring term, you must apply for readmission; visit Admissions website for readmission information.
    3. It's too early for someone in your classification to register. Degree-seeking students register first (Graduate students, Seniors, Juniors, Sophomores, then Freshmen); non-degree seeking students can register only after degree-seeking students have had a chance to register. Refer to the term's Dates & Deadlines calendar for your first day to register.

You require re-admission prior to registration.
  • When you skip a Fall or Spring term, you must apply for readmission; visit Admissions' website for information on readmission.
