Planning a New Town Planning a New Town
This lesson, developed by National Geographic, charges the participants with developing a new urban area by prioritizing decisions about businesses, buildings, and housing options.  The lesson begins with a discussion of what comprises a self-sustaining community and then leads to the task of preparing a map and designing the basic outline of how the community will develop.  The original lesson plan can be found here.
