Robert Koch, DNSc, MSN, RN
Robert W. Koch, DNSc, RN is an Associate Professor at Loewenberg School of Nursing,
University of Memphis. He holds a baccalaureate and master’s degree in nursing from
the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and doctorate in nursing administration
and education leadership from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans.
He holds memberships in Sigma Theta Tau International, the National League of Nursing,
the American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American Nurses Association.
Throughout Dr. Koch's professional career he has held several administrative positions
such as nurse manager, director of nursing, assistant hospital administrator, and
associate dean of the school of nursing. Koch holds positions on several organizational
boards including The Regional Medical Center (The MED) L-TACH Board of Directors.
He is the author of one textbook in nursing pharmacology and multiple journal articles.
His most recent research activities include over 3 million dollars in federal funding
to investigate the military/civilian interface during catastrophic wide scale disasters.
As an accomplished presenter, Dr. Koch speaks regularly at national and international
conferences and seminars. He teaches leadership and management at both the undergraduate
and graduate levels.
