Photographer Ellen Carey Will Visit U of M Oct. 6

Photographer Ellen Carey will speak at the meeting of the University of Memphis Photo Society at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, in Room 226 of the FedEx Institute of Technology. Carey, who will discuss her "Photography Degree Zero" project, is known for her photographs taken with a large format Polaroid 20x24 camera. She is an associate professor of photography at the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford. Carey lives in New York City and Hartford. A video documentary, Pulls, illustrates her work with the Polaroid 20x24 camera.
