Author
Sue Silverman will discuss "Identifying and Combating Childhood
Sexual Abuse" during a lecture Wednesday, Oct. 25, at The
University of Memphis. Her talk will begin at 7 p.m. in the
University Center Ballroom.
Silverman
is the author of Because I Remember Terror, Father, I Remember
You. The memoir tells the story of Silverman's struggle
with sexual abuse by her father from the age of 4 to 18.
A
panel discussion will follow with representatives from local
organizations that deal with childhood sexual abuse victims.
The
event is sponsored by The U of M's divisions of Health Administration
and Social Work. It is free and open to the public.
