U of M Will Host Information Program for Students with Learning Disabilities

The University of Memphis will host an informational program, “Making the Transition to College for Students with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,” November 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Administration Building, Room 220.

The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, and for their parents, guidance counselors, and special education personnel.

The staff of Student Disability Services at the U of M will discuss how to make sound decisions about college, the differences between high school and college accommodations, the documentation requirements for college accommodations, the SDS program at the U of M, and new University admissions requirements.

There is no charge for the program; however, reservations are necessary. Those planning to attend should call 901-678-2880.
