Experience "Night in Africa" November 11

The public is invited to experience art, culture and food from across Africa at “Night in Africa” Saturday, November 11, at 7 p.m. in the Rose Theatre at the University of Memphis. The event, sponsored by the African Students Association, is free of charge.

The theme for this year is “The Queens of Africa.” Performances will include dance by cultural dance groups and drama performances by the U of M and University of Mississippi ASA organizations, as well as music from across the continent. The Ebin Dancers will be performing some hip-hop steps for African beats.

Free African food will be available. There also will be an African marketplace offering items for sale.
