Boller Appointed Director of Fogelman MBA Program

Dr. Greg Boller, associate professor of marketing in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics at the University of Memphis, has been appointed director of the college's MBA program.

As director, Boller's primary job is marketing. “I intend to market our MBA program in a way that visibly celebrates our students' passion for professional success,” he said. “Our students have fantastic aspirations professionally. We take great pride in enthusiastically helping our students achieve those aspirations.”

In the past five years, the Fogelman College has awarded 1,076 MBAs. Graduates hold management positions with such companies as FedEx, First Tennessee, AutoZone, Cargill, International Paper, Medtronic, Morgan Keegan, and Smith & Nephew.

Boller joined the U of M faculty in 1988. He has served as chair of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. His research interests center on marketing communications, negotiation strategy, and social marketing.

Boller regularly conducts negotiation training seminars for companies and executive development programs. He recently served as an advertising consultant to the U.S. Navy and has been a political research consultant for ABC News, the Foundation for National Progress, and the National Institute on Media and the Family.

His work has been published in The Journal of Advertising, The Journal of Business Research, Journal of Current Issues and Research in Advertising, Advances in Consumer Research, and The Journal of Marketing Management.

Boller earned BS, MS and Ph.D. degrees from Penn State University.
