Honors Student Receives Honorable Mention in USA Today College Academic Team Program

University of Memphis Honors Program student Izuchukwu "Izu" Iwueke received honorable mention in USA Today's 2006 All-USA College Academic Team program. Out of more than 600 nominees from four-year colleges nationwide, judges selected 20 students each for the first, second, and third teams, plus 23 honorable mentions. Izu is a senior majoring in biology. He has received numerous awards, including the UNCF/Merck Fellowship and honorable mention for the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship.
