U of M Will Host Meeting April 10 for Students with Learning Disabilities

“Making the Transition to College for Students with Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” will be presented by the University of Memphis for prospective students on Tuesday, April 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. in Brister Hall, Room 220. The program is designed for high school juniors and seniors with learning disabilities and/or ADHD, and for their parents, guidance counselors, and special education personnel. The staff of Student Disability Services (SDS) at the U of M will discuss how to make sound decisions about college, the differences between high school and college accommodations, the documentation requirements for college accommodations, the SDS program at the U of M and new University admissions requirements. There is no charge for the program; however, reservations are necessary. Persons who want to attend should call 901/678-2880 by April 5. Free parking will be provided in Lot 19, across from Wilder Tower at the corner of Patterson and Mynders.
