Workshop April 27 at the U of M Will Feature Mary Golias

Poet
Mary Golias will conduct a poetry workshop at the University
of Memphis Tuesday, April 27, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the
McWherter Library, Room 226. The public is invited to attend
the free event.
Aspiring
poets are encouraged to read, discuss, and revise their poetry
at the workshop. There also will be a discussion on how to
fight writer's block.
Golias
also will read from her own collection of poetry at the workshop.
Golias
earned a BFA degree from Emerson College and has certification
in teaching English and ESL (English as a Second Language).
She has taught composition, poetry workshops, literature,
and ESL, and is pursuing her master of fine arts degree at
the U of M.
Her
work has appeared in Oyez Review, Red Brick Review,
and the Peralta Press Journal.
The
event is sponsored by the University Libraries and the Friends
of the University Libraries.
