Carol Rakestraw is Administrative Assistant for the University Bands, Music Business, and Recording and Technology Divisions. A native of Memphis, Ms. Rakestraw has been with the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music since 2000. In a position that calls on her to perform an extraordinary variety of tasks, she has become the lifeblood of the band program, providing information and support to students and faculty. The sign above her desk, “Count on Carol” is a true reflection of the dedication and grace she brings to the job.
