Marianne Hartquist, Director of Development for the School of Music, earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in music from Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia. After several years in non-profit work, Marianne began her fundraising career with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra in Virginia. For three and a half years, Marianne served as Director of Annual Giving for the University of Memphis. As Director of Development for the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, Marianne is focused on fundraising for endowed professorships, scholarships, graduate assistantships, instrument repair and replacement, student and faculty travel, guests artists series, and the new Music Center.
