The University of Memphis will hold the Works in Progress Symposium (WIPS) on Wednesday,
Nov. 2, from noon to 5 p.m. in the University Center (Shelby Room, Bluff Room, and
Memphis A & B Rooms). This annual event recognizes the significant contributions to
research by U of M undergraduates and allows them to share their work with the larger
University community.
This year 33 students will participate in the symposium, which will feature research
from a wide variety of fields, including anthropology, biomedical engineering, English,
health and sport sciences, political science, psychology, physics, and theatre.
Sponsored by the Helen Hardin Honors Program, WIPS is free and open for all to attend.
The full schedule of student presentations is online at http://www.memphis.edu/honors/pdfs/WIPS_ProgramInside2011_FINAL.pdf.
