The University of Memphis’ Crews Center for Entrepreneurship will host a grand opening
and ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. It is located at 3618 Walker
The Crews Center, part of the FedEx Institute of Technology, encourages and supports
a culture of entrepreneurship at the U of M, helping faculty and student entrepreneurs
as they focus their passion and commercialize their ideas, research and inventions
into the foundations of successful companies.
The first of its kind in Tennessee, the 8,000 sq. ft. facility features a prototype
lab, office space and conference rooms. The hub of entrepreneurship on campus, the
Crews Center helps license intellectual property in partnership with the University’s
Office of Technology Transfer, incubates high potential start-ups, and gives entrepreneurs
the resources to build sustainable models.
Tours of the facility will be available during the event.
