Women have been some of the most inspirational individuals in the 100-year history
of the University of Memphis, and the U of M’s Center for Research on Women (CROW)
wants to honor them. To celebrate the University’s Centennial and the 30th anniversary
of the Center, CROW, in conjunction with African and African American Studies and
the Department of History, will recognize 100 of those women during CROW’s anniversary
celebration on April 27, 2012.
The Center is now accepting nominations of women who have influenced the University’s
success, whether they were inspiring to an individual or made a great contribution
to the University as a whole. To nominate a woman, past or present, who has made a difference to the University of Memphis, visit memphis.edu/crow/. Nominations must be made by December 31, 2011.
Tickets for the celebratory evening at the U of M Holiday Inn will go on sale in January
2012. More information is available online at http://www.memphis.edu/crow/ or by phone at 901-678-2770.
