In recognition of International Education Week, the University of Memphis’ Study Abroad
Program will present an International Photo Contest exhibit Nov. 14-18 in the rotunda
of the Ned R. McWherter Library. The 30 photos were taken by U of M students while
studying abroad in 2010-11.
The photos will include images from Argentina, Belgium, China, Costa Rica, the Dominican
Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Scotland, Spain, and Turkey.
Entries will be judged on their ability to communicate a cross-cultural message as
well as their artistic merit. The judging committee includes faculty, staff, and one
student. First prize is a $750 travel voucher to any destination in the world, second
prize is a $500 travel voucher, and third prize is $250.
