The deadline for applying for the Loewenberg School of Nursing’s Basic BSN Program
for the fall 2012 semester at the University of Memphis Lambuth Campus has been extended
to May 1. The extension applies to the Basic BSN program on the Lambuth Campus only.
Interested applicants can find an application for the Basic BSN program at the Lambuth
Campus on the nursing school’s website, www.memphis.edu/nursing/index.php.
The U of M Lambuth Campus will implement the Basic BSN Program beginning with the
fall 2012 semester. The RN-BSN Program, a hybrid educational model that includes online
and traditional classes, is already being offered at the Lambuth Campus. RN-BSN classes,
which began at U of M Lambuth in spring 2012, are for diploma and associate degree-prepared
RNs who want to earn the BSN degree.
With renovations to the U of M Lambuth campus, the Hyde Science Building will house
state-of-the-art nursing classrooms, skills, and simulation laboratories that facilitate
a first-rate learning environment for students taught by high-quality faculty.
“The addition of LSON nursing to the U of M Lambuth Campus will increase the number
of BSN-prepared nurses available to meet the needs of the Jackson area and the surrounding
regional communities,” said Dr. Linda Finch, associate dean and associate professor
in the Loewenberg School of Nursing.
