The University of Memphis will hold its spring Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Jan.
24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
Students will have a chance to speak with Study Abroad faculty, program providers,
and past program participants about international study opportunities. Information
about summer programs and those for the winter/spring break, semester, and full academic
year will be available. All students who attend will have a chance to win one of three
$1,000 scholarships toward a U of M-sponsored study abroad program.
The University of Memphis Study Abroad program offers more than 250 programs in 50
countries. Students of all majors and levels can apply to study abroad in the country
of their choice. All Study Abroad applicants who have completed a semester at the
University are encouraged to apply.
Most institutional and federal aid can be applied toward the cost of study abroad.
In addition, the University has an International Experience Scholarship fund for students
who study abroad. During the 2010-2011 academic year, the University of Memphis awarded
a total of $447,450 in Study Abroad scholarships to 258 students.
