The University of Memphis Opera will present Confession by composer Raphaȅl Lucas and librettists Jacques Trussel and Margaret Vignola, on

work is the 2011 winner of the biennial Chamber Opera Competition held by the National

opera is a prequel to the beloved one-act opera Suor Angelica by Giacomo Puccini, exploring the events leading up to a pregnancy, a child out-of-wedlock
and subsequent life-long interment in a secluded convent.
