Before classes begin, all first-year students participate in an orientation program
to ease the transition into law school.
A student panel discussion about life at Memphis Law will be held, and there are numerous
opportunities to interact with professors and fellow students. Upper level students
will serve as Peer Mentors to small groups of 10-12 students. There will be opportunities
to discuss essential study skills, workload, school policies, community involvement
opportunities, and other topics of interest.
You will receive an orientation to our excellent facility and information about our
downtown location, housing, and parking. Finally, you will attend your first Legal
Methods class to begin your legal education.
This year's New Student Orientation will be held August 13-15, 2014.
A draft Orientation schedule is available here, but please note that it is tentative and subject to change.
The information below will remain on this page for the duration of the academic year,
so that you can access it as needed during your first semester at Memphis Law.
